Sandblasting & Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving a high-quality powder-coated finish. The primary purpose of sandblasting is to remove any surface contaminants, such as rust, oil, dirt, or old paint, that can interfere with the adhesion of the powder coating to the substrate. By removing any surface contaminants and creating a profile on the substrate, sandblasting ensures that the powder coating adheres well to the surface, providing a durable and long-lasting finish. Without proper pre-treatment, the powder coating may peel, chip or crack over time, compromising the quality and appearance of the coated surface. Please note, all customers must let us know if they need sandblasting treatment, as it is not automatically included in our powder coating process.
